Lazy Sunday. Watched this movie - Easy Rider. Its supposed to be a cult classic from the 60s. Its an anti-establishment hippie culture movie with 2 bikers riding through countryside with grass and stuff.. Overall a pretty nice movie, the soundtrack is great and the shooting is plain awesome, they pretty successfully cover a lot of the varied American countryside. Only thing that takes off from the movie is people getting killed randomly. Jack Nicholson is great in an introductory role and Peter Fonda is damn cool in the main lead. Reading his bio on IMDB I discover that he was actually into LSD and stuff and shared it with John Lenon who wrote the song "She Said She Said" on him. Another useless Beatle tid-bid.
The movie wants me to get a bike and take a month or two off and ride around the US. Wonder if they rent bikes for a couple of months. Got to add it to the top 10 things I want to do but I will probably never do. Cant decide if it should be above the RV or below at this time though. Anyway.

Gifts for Children
Long Gap.
Ever bought gifts for children?
I got my niece Sanjana and nephew Anhul some gifts on this India trip. I spent a lot of time racking my brains about each and every toy if it was suitable, how it will tickle the child's interest, and keep him/her hooked. I recounted all the stuff the excited parents keep telling me about them and donned my child psychoanalyst hat to buy those gifts.
And did they play with them ? Yes, for an average of 5 SECONDS!!! Next instant it is mercilessly flung into some remote corner and forgotten. The boxes and wrappings fared much much better ! Arghhh !
Anshul got a new bat and ball and he got the idea of cricket. Thats pretty smart as he is just 1.5 yrs. But all he wanted to do was bat. Hw will give you the ball and wait for you to deliver upon which the bat is swung 5 times in either direction. Irrespective of whether contact is made, he will not move and inch and expect/prompt/cry for you to get the ball. Should have taken some videos and posted here..
Anyways, I know what to give them the next time - EMPTY BOXES !
