Just wondering, how come I have never seen a women pilot in the commercial aviation industry after so much flying ? Hmmmmmm..
They are everywhere else in the aviation industry, air hostesses , gound staff etc..but no pilots/captains ??

Maybe the risks involved for the airline are much higher in allowing a woman to fly the plane, not that she will be a bad pilot or anything but its just that maybe people's perceptions matter and people have historically seen men flying airplanes and are therefore more comfortable when they see a man do the job.
I have seen a couple of women pilots in airports. Haven't been on a flight yet with a woman pilot. I suspect some sexists wouldn't be comfortable with having a woman co pilot. I remember when I first started off in Pathology, I was assigned to the "VIP" floor which housed all the Saudis and they all REFUSED (read yelled) to have their blood taken by a woman. Needless to say I made sure I was assigned to them every day for that month to change their minds about incompetency in women...though I am pretty sure now that it didn't achieve anything (except for me learning some curses in Arabic).
